Top Reasons to Look Forward to 2013

With the New Year upon us, it always makes for a good time to reflect on the past year and to think ahead into the future – what lies in store for 2013? Courtesy of REALTOR® Magazine’s online news, here are the top 13 reasons to look forward to 2013:

  • There’s greater optimism about increasing home values
  • More new households are forming
  • Home shoppers are feeling a greater sense of urgency
  • Home ownership remains a goal of members of the Millennial generation
  • Foreclosure starts are falling to pre-housing-bust levels
  • Interest rates should remain low through next year’s selling season
  • Loan demand for home purchases is climbing
  • More Americans say it’s a good time to sell
  • The number of improving housing markets is going up
  • Job creation is expected to provide a much-needed boost to the commercial sector
  • Housing starts are picking up as builder confidence increases
  • As housing values rise and equity returns, fewer home owners are underwater
  • Real Estate is contributing to an overall economic recovery

“That’s not to say there aren’t challenges. Lending remains tight, there’s a large foreclosure backlog, and regulatory challenges and the fiscal cliff loom ahead. But on balance, real estate appears to have a bright future in 2013.”

At RE/MAX Professionals, we are grateful for the awesome agents and staff who are a part of our family. We look forward to another year of growth and prosperity for all our affiliates – and continuing to build a thriving real estate company that is the top choice for REALTORS and consumers! Happy New Year!

Best Latino Real Estate Agent - Nate Martinez

Best Latino Real Estate Agent - Nate Martinez

Of the Top 250 Latino Real Estate Agents in America, 33 are RE/MAX Sales Associates.  More RE/MAX agents were recognized among the top performers than agents affiliated with any other brand, according to a report released last week by The National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP).

In the industry’s first ever comprehensive list of top-producing Latino residential real estate agents, RE/MAX placed three of its agents among the top 25 – two from Arizona and one from Illinois.

From the Phoenix area, Nathan Martinez with RE/MAX Professionals took the number five position, while Victor Vidales with RE/MAX New Heights Realty ranked number eleven.  Robert Padron from RE/MAX Cityview in Chicago rounded out the top 25.

“I’m proud to see so many RE/MAX agents recognized in this first national survey,” said Margaret Kelly, RE/MAX CEO. “We’re honored to be represented by this distinguished group of Latino professionals.  RE/MAX has a reputation for being the home of top producers and the RE/MAX agents recognized in this report confirmed it once again.”

The NAHREP Top 250 Latino Real Estate Agents in America list is based on agent sales production data for the entire year 2011.  The final 250 were selected from over 10,000 agents across the United States.

In 2012, two other respected industry surveys have ranked RE/MAX agents as the industry’s most productive among the national brands.  RE/MAX offices took 44 of the top 50 spots in the 2012 REAL Trends 500 survey when ranked by agent productivity.  RE/MAX agents also had an average of 15.6 transaction sides in the RIS Media Power Broker survey, the highest of any national brand.

RE/MAX agents are regularly ranked among the country’s top performers because of the education they receive through RE/MAX University.  The award winning, ready-whenever-you-are, on-demand service includes over 1,000 individual titles and can be accessed on the Internet, on television, in classrooms, or on personal mobile devices.
