Nate's Monday Morning Message

by Nate Martinez

Nate’s Monday Morning Message

Welcome to this week’s edition of Nate's Monday Message! Life is all about taking chances and going for your dreams. Don't let anyone hold you back! It may not be their dream, but if it is yours then go for it and give it your all. Obstacles and challenges will get in the way. People will try to throw you off or hold you back. It will not always go as planned. But you must be strong enough to stand up for what you believe and fight with all the might and vigor you can muster! If you want it bad enough then go for it. Burn the bridge and go all in. Make life what you want it to be. In the end it’s yours to make with it what you want. Dream big…work hard…help others…be happy. Let’s make it a great week!

ENCOURAGEMENT CORNER

There was once a boy who wanted to seek the secret of success. One day he approached a wise man living up in the mountain. When he found the wise man at the hut, he asked "Wise man, can you tell me the secret to becoming successful in life?" The wise man was silent for a bit. After a moment, the wise man led the boy down to the river. They kept walking into the river until the boy was fully submerged in the water. The boy struggled and the wise man did not help him. The wise man held his head under the water. After a while, the wise man pulled the boy out of the water and headed back up to the mountain. At the hut the wise man asked the boy what he desired most when his head was submerged in the water. To this the boy quickly responded, "Of course, I wanted to breathe, you old fool!" To which the wise man replied, "Son, if you desire success as much as you wanted to breathe, then you would have found the true secret of success."

Success is a matter of choice. If we have enough strong reasons, there is nothing we cannot do. Once we have the reasons, we will surely find the way to do it.

WORDS OF INSPIRATION

“Happiness is not something you postpone for the future; it is something you design for the present.” - Jim Rohn

“Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into the visible.” - Tony Robbins

“Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do.” - Pele

Nate's Monday Morning Message - Happy New Year!

by Nate Martinez

Nate’s Monday Morning Message

Welcome to this week’s Monday Morning Message…it’s the last day of 2018, which means there is still a small window of time to mark off your list, hit that final goal or connect with a long-lost friend or family member. As we close the chapter on another year, I wanted to share the lyrics to Elton John’s song The Circle of Life, which is perfect timing for today’s message. Let's welcome the New Year by celebrating the circle... and miracle of life! Let’s make it a great week!

ENCOURAGEMENT CORNER

The Circle of Life (Music by Elton John, Lyrics by Tim Rice, From the soundtrack of "The Lion King”)

From the day we arrive on the planet
And blinking, step into the sun
There's more to see than can ever be seen
More to do than can ever be done

There's far too much to take in here
More to find than can ever be found
But the sun rolling high
Through the sapphire sky
Keeps great and small on the endless round

It's the circle of life
And it moves us all
Through despair and hope
Through faith and love

Till we find our place
On the path unwinding
In the circle
The circle of life

It's the circle of life
And it moves us all
Through despair and hope
Through faith and love

Till we find our place
On the path unwinding
In the circle
The circle of life

WORDS OF INSPIRATION

"The new year stands before us, like a chapter in a book, waiting to be written. We can help write that story by setting goals." - Melody Beattie

"And now we welcome the new year. Full of things that have never been." - Rainer Maria Rilke

"Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right." - Oprah Winfrey

Nate's Monday Morning Message - Happy Holidays

by RE/MAX Professionals

Nate’s Monday Morning Message - Happy Holidays

Welcome to this week’s Monday Morning Message…I want to take this opportunity to wish each you reading this a very happy holiday celebration with your family, friends and loved ones. As a company we are incredible blessed to have agents like you within our company and within our industry. From all of us at RE/MAX Professionals, happy holidays! Let’s make it a great week!

“The House of Christmas” by G.K. Chesterton

…This world is wild as an old wives' tale,
And strange the plain things are,
The earth is enough and the air is enough
For our wonder and our war;
But our rest is as far as the fire-drake swings
And our peace is put in impossible things
Where clashed and thundered unthinkable wings
Round an incredible star.

To an open house in the evening
Home shall men come,
To an older place than Eden
And a taller town than Rome.
To the end of the way of the wandering star,
To the things that cannot be and that are,
To the place where God was homeless
And all men are at home.

WORDS OF INSPIRATION

“The theme of 'A Christmas Story' is that you can count on Christmas - that everybody has a Christmas story. Everybody has that time in the holiday season that they remember.” - Marc Platt

“Christmas is a season not only of rejoicing but of reflection.” - Winston Churchill

“Maybe Christmas, the Grinch thought, doesn't come from a store.” - Dr. Seuss

“Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful.” - Norman Vincent Peale

In Loving Memory of Mark Parris of RE/MAX Renaissance

by RE/MAX Professionals

In Loving Memory of Mark Parris of RE/MAX Renaissance

Losing a member of the RE/MAX family is always a heartbreaking loss for the whole company, and it is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved friend and colleague, Mark Parris.

Mark Taylor Parris, 44, passed away October 29th, 2018. He suffered from sleep apnea and passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home located in Peoria, Arizona. Mark was born October 12th, 1974 in Phoenix, Arizona to Eddy and Betty Parris. Mark was a 1992 graduate of Apollo High School and also attended Arizona State University.

In 2005, Mark and his father, Eddy, established and operated RE/MAX Renaissance Realty. Always promoting the success of others, Mark strove to create the family-oriented company it has become. With an infectious smile and heartfelt hugs, Mark had a gift for making people know they are valued. He was known for his deep love of others and his caring nature. In addition to his strong work ethics, Mark pursued many passions. At the young age of four he started playing hockey, which continued throughout his life. Mark’s other interests included performing and making music, golfing, performing magic tricks, enjoying the theater, mentoring and teaching others, giving back to the community, and above all, building and maintaining relationships with others.

Mark is survived by his father Eddy Parris, mother Betty Parris and stepfather Bill Nelson, sisters Kim Couture, Rhonda Albright, Michelle Parris, Jennifer Ayers, Chandra Black, and brothers Noah Parris and Eric Bauman, plus numerous extended family.

There has been an outpouring of love and support for Mark’s family and friends as his passing has deeply impacted his community. Friends and family of Mark are invited to join in the Celebration of Life service for him this Saturday, November 10th at the Dream City Church located at 21000 N 75th Ave. Glendale, AZ 85308. Viewing service begins at 11:00am, with services to start at 11:30am. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Mark’s name to his favorite charity, Phoenix Children's Hospital.

The Parris Family would love for friends and family to bring in a picture of themselves and Mark to the service, representing a favorite memory or a quote so that the family can view Mark through his friends’ eyes. They will have paper to write quotes on, and please make sure you write on the back of anything, so they know who shared the lovely memory.

Additionally, the RE/MAX Professionals' family would like to offer our support to our friends at Renaissance to help and support Mark’s family during this difficult time. A Meal Train has been organized for his family.  Every effort makes a difference when tragedy strikes, so please click here if you would like to volunteer to provide a meal for the Parris family.

Mark was an incredible man and he will be sorely missed. Our thoughts and condolences are with the Parris family at this time.

With Appreciation,

Nate Martinez and everyone at RE/MAX Professionals
